Murder in the 11th House

Murder in the 11th House by Mitchell Scott Lewis.

This recently published book is the first in a new series – ‘A Starlight Detective Agency Mystery’, and it is an unusual read for a murder mystery. To start with, the detective at the centre of the plot, David Lowell, uses astrology to help him solve the cases. Lowell is smart and has a black belt in aikido, but he is not your usual young, handsome hero – in fact, in this book he takes on his client at the request of his daughter, Melinda, who is a young defense attorney. Melinda is convinced that the rough, tattooed woman she is defending is innocent. With the evidence heavily stacked against them, Lowell and Melinda will have a difficult time proving their client innocent – especially when the killer turns his attention their way.

Introducing a range of great characters, this book is a light and amusing read and I look forward to reading more in this series when they are published.
