This is a guide for all makes and models of cars sold in Australia for the last 10 years. It contains information for people who maybe considering the purchase of a second hand vehicle. It contains everything from Alfa Romeo to Volkswagen and all the makes in between - Holden, Ford, Toyota, Mazda, Nissan and Hyundai plus many more. The layout of the book is practical with a simple index and flowing guide of cars. For example the guide runs from Make to Model in alphabetical/ number order. For example BMW 1 Series to 7 Series and, Holden Barina, Commodore, Cruze, Statesman to Zafira. The information provided in each of the makes and models includes:
- Technical Information Chassis & or VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) and it’s location on the car.
- Compliance Plate Location
- Engine Size and Cylinders, HP, KW, RPM, Timing Belt type.
- The cars tare weight
- Wheel Size
- Tyres
- Track
- Transmission
- Induction (for example multi point injection)
- Body Styles
- Features List (Including Safety Features)
For example any one considering a purchase of a second hand car can use this book to research information about the car they are considering buying and take it along with the them to compare features between cars. The 2008 edition can be loaned from the library, and 2009 /2010 is available for reference.
