Absolutely Faking It – Tiana Templeman

post by Bindi from Southport Branch Library.

Tiana Templeman was one of the Literati authors presenting a Master Class across the library branches. Her session on Pitching To Publishers was so interesting that I had to read the book that started her writing career. Absolutely Faking It. It’s a fabulous read! It follows Tiana and her husband over many continents; staying in fantastically exclusive hotels. Tiana won a trip for two to stay at thirteen of the world’s most exclusive five-star hotels. The problem was – the prize money wasn’t going to cover the airfare! So that means a shoestring budget. Adventure ensues!

After reading your review I read the book. Sadly, I was disappointed. This book sounded so promising. In reality I found it not really about the opulent hotels, not really about the exotic destinations or the amazing cultures and not really much of a personal travel narrative. What a shame. What an amazing opportunity the author (and her husband) had though for the trip of a life time! Her prize is something that most normal people can only dream about! Wow!
