The brain that changes itself

Today I’m posting from WordCamp Gold Coast.  I’ve just listened to the keynote address by Kate Swaffer, which is about blogging as a dementia management tool.  Inspiring stuff!

During her sessions she recommended The brain that changes itself which we have in book, DVD and audio CD. You’ll see two records for the book on our catalog. I’d recommend the newer edition, which is more up to date.

The book is a series of inspirational stories about neuroplasticity: that is, the way the brain flexes and changes and rewires to deal with trauma. If you like biographical stories, if you like medical drama, if you find the superpowers of ordinary people fascinating, this is a great book.
