The Rip by acclaimed Australian author Robert Drewe. A collection of profoundly Australian short-stories all set along the backdrop of the Aussie Coastline.
Dear Life by Nobel Prizewinner Alice Munro. Described (by a book club member) as a book that “could not be put down”. Real characters. Real issues. Each story is slightly interlinked. Written with profound subtlety. Munro is a master of her literary craft.
Not the end of the World by Kate Atkinson. Described (by a book club member) as a collection of “Almost modern fairy tales” these short stories are interlinked. They weave together magical elements in to everyday stories.
Adoration (previously published as The Grandmothers). Four short story novellas by Award winning author Doris Lessing. An unconventional premise delivered in a very contemporary and enjoyable fashion.
