StarDust by Neil Gaiman.

If you loved the movie, you may be slightly taken aback by the original novel. It’s a great story in print and film, but you may enjoy the movie just a little bit more. Gaiman’s original novel is undeniably magic, but there is a light hearted humour in the film that isn’t as easy to find in the novel. It’s also impossible to ignore the sheer visual appeal of the film, the reassuring voice of the narrator, the fantastic casting, the sound track and the staggeringly beautiful landscapes. Anything that includes Iceland as a location, really deserves bonus points.
