Pop goes the Weasel by M.J. Arlidge

Detective Inspector Helen Grace returns in Pop goes the Weasel, the second thriller from author M. J. Arlidge.

The story begins when the body of a horrifically mutilated middle-aged religious man is found in Southampton’s red-light district.

He is the first victim, but Detective Helen Grace knows he will not be the last.

Then, only hours later, a gruesome trophy from the murder is delivered to his wife and children by courier.

A pattern emerges when another male victim is found dead soon afterwards.

The media call it Jack the Ripper in reverse, a vicious killer preying on family men who lead hidden double lives.

For Grace only one thing is certain, there is a serial-killer at large who must be stopped and Helen has to find the connection that binds that victims together in order to find the killer.

The book is full of short chapters which move at a quick pace as the bodies pile up and the police begin to close in on the killer.
