Block out this Saturday, 7 November, to work on your writing craft and join us for Writers’ block at Robina Branch Library and auditorium.

Here’s the program:

9am – 10am Jeff Licence: 500 words with ABC Open. Learn how short form non-fiction can get you writing more.

10am – 10.20am coffee break

10.30am – 12.30pm Melaina Faranda: Unleash your creative genius workshop. Learn how to trick your brain into flow through a variety of powerful tools, techniques and exercises that enable you to access your subconscious creative genius and switch off the inner critic.

12.30pm – 1pm lunch
1pm – 1.15pm Local writers network opportunity

1.15pm – 3.15pm Louise Cusack: Characterisation workshop. Explore the use of viewpoint to build characterisation, how to avoid generic traits and ensure virtues and flaws thread seamlessly into the Goal/Motivation/Conflict and the plot.
