A middle-aged cop and a teenage girl fall to their death from a high-rise building in London’s East End. The girl had abducted a 5 year old boy. Left behind horrified and in shock on the roof are young PC Lizzie and the child, Ben. Lizzie disappears and Sarah Collins from Police Internal Investigation is called in to get to the bottom of what happened. In the East End the poor and the affluent live side by side and within this melting pot of immigrants and middle class citizens come misunderstanding and violence.  The plot is excellent; thought provoking about the difficulties of being a “good” cop and doing their job. Good read! Kate London is a graduate from Cambridge University, further training in Paris, writing, directing and acting for an internationally touring company.
