Ashley Bell by Dean Koontz
Review by Neen
Dean Koontz used to be one of my favourite authors, but his latest is a disappointment.
His language is still as beautiful as ever, and a pleasure to read, but I found the plot for this one so tedious that I just couldn’t persevere with it.
I skipped to the ending just to find out how he managed to reach a resolution for such an improbable series of events, and discovered the ultimate cop-out for an author with his talent, as it really does end with “She woke up, and found it had all been a dream”.
I will definitely read Dean Koontz again, as I hope this was a minor aberration and not a permanent change of direction for him.
